6. Neither said they, Where [is] the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?

Exodus 20:3: "You will not have other gods before me." This is the first commandment given to Moses by God, which emphasizes the importance of loving and worshiping only to God, not to other gods or idols.

Hosea 2:13: "She did not acknowledge that I was the one who gave her the wheat, the new wine and the oil, and multiply the silver and the gold, which they used for Baal." This verse describes how Israel forgot that God was the source of all his material blessings, giving his prosperity to Baal, a false God.
