Leviticus 16:34: "This will be for you a perpetual statute, to do atonement for the children of Israel of all their sins once a year." This verse highlights the limitation of the annual ritual of atonement for the sins of the people, in contrast to the sacrifice of Jesus that was offered once and for all to purify the sins of humanity.

" This verse highlights God's promise to write his law in the heart of humanity, which is only possible through the sacrifice of Jesus.
