2 Thessalonians, 1

3. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

2 Thessalonians 1 talks about God's righteousness and his retribution to those who persecute Christians. The chapter emphasizes that God is righteous and will bring judgment to those who do evil, while rewarding those who remain faithful to Him. Psalm 94:23 - "He shall make his own evil fall upon them and destroy them in his own malice; yes, the Lord our God will destroy them."
