Ezra, 10

6. And Esdras rose up from before the house of God, and went to the chamber of Johanan the son of Eliasib, and entered in thither: he ate no bread, and drank no water: for he mourned for the transgression of them that were come out of the captivity.

Chapter 10 of Ezra talks about the restoration of the covenant of God with the people of Israel, after the discovery that many of the Jewish leaders had married foreign women, which was prohibited by God's law. Deuteronomy 7:3-4: "Do not be united in marriage with them, and do not allow your children to marry their children, for they would deviate them to worship other gods. This verse talks about the importance of marrying people who share the same faith and values, which is related to the theme of Ezra 10, as Jewish leaders were exhorted to divorce from foreign women and seek reconciliation with God.
