1 Kings, 8

1. Then all the ancients of Israel with the princes of the tribes, and the heads of the families of the children of Israel were assembled to king Solomon in Jerusalem: that they might carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, that is, out of Sion.

Matthew 21:13: "And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the House of Prayer; but you have converted to thieves." Jesus quotes this verse by expelling the temple's money changers and salespeople in Jerusalem, emphasizing the importance of keeping the temple as a place of worship and prayer.

John 2:19-21: "Jesus answered, and said unto them, Detrine this temple, and in three days I will lift him. The Jews said, in forty-six years, this temple was built, and thou shalt get him up in three Days? But he spoke of the temple of his body. " This verse is a reference to the body of Jesus as the new temple, emphasizing the importance of faith in Christ as the way to salvation.
