Mark, 10

39. But they said to him, “We can.” Then Jesus said to them: “Indeed, you shall drink from the chalice, from which I drink; and you shall be baptized with the baptism, with which I am to be baptized.

Finally, a rich young man approaches Jesus and asks what he should do to inherit eternal life, and Jesus tells him to sell everything he has and follow him.

Proverbs 22:6: "Teaches the child on the path where he should walk, and even when he is elderly he will not deviate from him." This verse highlights the importance of teaching and guiding children, a message emphasized by Jesus in St. Mark 10.

Matthew 19:21: "Jesus answered, If you want to be perfect, go, sell everything you have, and give it to the poor and have a treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me." This verse is similar to Jesus' response to the young rich in St. Mark 10, emphasizing the importance of abandoning everything in favor of following Christ.
