Hosea, 4

6. My people have become silent because they had no knowledge. Since you have rejected knowledge, I will drive you away; you do not perform the duties of the priesthood for me, and you have forgotten the law of your God, and so I will forget your sons.

Chapter 4 of Hosea addresses the question of idolatry and the lack of knowledge of God by the people of Israel and its leaders. The prophet Hosea condemns the worship of idols and the corruption of leaders, pointing out the wrong behavior as the cause of people's problems. Isaiah 1:2-3: "I heard, O heavens, and hear, O earth; for the Lord said, I raised children, and magnified them; but they rebelled against me.
