Deuteronomy 2:4-"Give him war, fight him." This verse is God's instruction for the Israelites to fight against the people of Seom, the king of the Amorites. He shows that although the Israelites were on a journey to the promised land, they would still have to fight for it.
Deuteronomy 2:19 - "And you have not contained with them, nor with Moab; you did not fight them, there was nor battle." Moses reminds the Israelites that they should not fight the Moabites, for God gave them that earth as inheritance. This highlights the importance of respecting the earth and the people who are not enemies.
Deuteronomy 2:25 - "From today I will begin to put the terror and fear of you over the peoples under the whole heaven, who hear your fame and shake before you." Deuteronomy 2:30 - "And Seom, king of Hesbom, did not want us to go through his earth; for the Lord thy God has hardened His Spirit, and made his heart stubborn, to deliver into thy hand, as he sees today. Deuteronomy 2:37 - "Only with the land of the children of Ammon you have not arrived, neither to the entire Ribeira Jaboque, nor to the cities in the mountain, nor anywhere the Lord our God has forbidden." This verse resembles the Israelites that they should not fight the children of Ammon, for God did not give them this land.
