1 Chronicles, 21

5. And he gave to David the number of those whom he had surveyed. And the entire number of Israel was found to be one million and one hundred thousand men who could draw the sword; but from Judah, there were four hundred and seventy thousand men of war.

1 Chronicles 21 reports as David, encouraged by Satan, ordered an census of Israel, challenging God's law and challenging his confidence in God. As a result, God sent an angel to punish the people of Israel with a plague. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in 1 chronicles 21:

" This verse highlights the importance of submission to God, resistance to the devil, and pity for the purity of the heart.
