Baruch, 3

14. Learn where there is wisdom, where there is strength, where there is understanding, that you may at the same time discern where there is length of days, and life, where there is light for the eyes, and peace.

Baruc 3 is a chapter of the Old Testament that presents a sorry prayer, in which the Jewish people recognize that they have disobeyed God and now suffer the consequences. They ask for the mercy and forgiveness of God and comfort themselves in their faithfulness. Below are five verses from other Bible books that relate to the topics covered in Baruc 3:

Psalm 79:8: "You do not remember against us from the iniquities of our ancestors; come quickly to our compassion, for we are very slaughtered." This verse recognizes that the people of God suffers the consequences of the sins of their ancestors and ask for God's compassion.

Jeremiah 3:22: "Return, rebellious children, I will heal your rebellion." This verse shows the offer of God's forgiveness and healing, even to those who rebelled against Him.

Isaiah 1:18: "Come then, and argue me, says the Lord; even if your sins are like scarlet, they will become white like snow; even if they are red as Carmesim, they will become like wool." . This verse shows God's promise to forgive and purify the sins of the people.

Joel 2:13: "And tear your heart, and not your garments; and convert to the Lord your God; for He is merciful and compassionate, late and great in kindness, and repent of evil." . This verse shows the importance of sincere repentance and the promise of God's mercy.

Nehemiah 9:33: "However, you are just in everything that has happened to us, for you acted with faithfulness, but we sin." This verse recognizes God's righteousness to allow the people to suffer the consequences of their sins, but also highlights God's faithfulness to fulfill their promises.
