3. For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet a boy, he began to seek the God of David his father; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the Ashe'rim, and the graven and the molten images.

" This verse describes how Josiah renewed the covenant with the Lord and pledged to follow his commandments. This was an important step in the religious reform he led in Judah.
2 Kings 23:25: "And before Him there was no king similar to him, who converted to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his strength, according to the whole law of Moses; and After him never stood up the same. " This verse talks about the importance of Josiah's leadership in religious reform in Judah. He was an example of a leader who sought the Lord with all his heart and encouraged the people to do the same.
