Wisdom of Solomon, 5

17. Therefore shall they receive a kingdom of glory, and a crown of beauty at the hand of the Lord: for with his right hand he will cover them, and with his holy arm he will defend them.

The Book of Wisdom, chapter 5, talks about the reward of the righteous and the punishment of the wicked after death. The chapter describes the anguish and despair of the wicked when they realize that their earthly life has come to an end and will be judged for their actions. Proverbs 11:18: "The wicked gains misleading salary, but whoever sows justice receives true reward." This verse shows the difference between the misleading earthly rewards of the wicked and the true and lasting reward of the righteous.

Ecclesiastes 12:14: "For God will bring to judgment all that has been done, including all that is hidden, be good or bad."
