Wisdom 2 presents a speech of the wicked who deny the existence of God and boast of their evil deeds, mocking the righteous and expecting their lives to be rewarding and free of consequences. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter:
Proverbs 1:22 - "How long will you, inexperienced, be content with your inexperience? And you, mocking, even when you will be happy to mockery? And you fools, how long will knowledge despise?" This verse speaks of those who mock and despise knowledge, as well as the wicked of wisdom 2.
Job 21:14-15-"They say to God," Ward us away from us! We do not want to know your ways. Who is Almighty, why do we obey? What profit will we have to pick it up? " These verses portray the attitude of the wicked in wisdom 2, who deny the existence of God and reject their ways.
Psalm 10:3-4 - "The wicked, in his arrogance, does not seek God; in all his plots there is no place for God. He considers himself superior to God and mocks Him, but ends up being punished for his own arrogance. " These verses describe the arrogance of the wicked in wisdom 2, who think they are superior to God and do not seek their guidance.
Proverbs 3:34 - "He mocks the mocking, but he is generous with the humble." This verse talks about God's attitude towards arrogant and humble, which is in contrast to the attitude of the wicked in wisdom 2.
