1 Samuel, 11

9. And they said to the messengers that came: Thus shall you say to the men of Jabes Galaad: Tomorrow, when the sun shall be hot, you shall have relief. The messengers therefore came, and told the men of Jabes: and they were glad.

Deuteronomy 20:1: "When you go out to the war against your enemies, and you see horses, and cars, and a greater people than you, you will not fear them; for the Lord thy God, who took you out of the land of Egypt, is with you . This applies to Saul's victory over the Ammonites in 1 Samuel 11, where it was God's help that guaranteed the victory.
