1 Samuel, 24

Chapter 24 of 1 Samuel narrates the story of David forgiving Saul. After fleeing Saul for a while, David had the opportunity to kill him when Saul entered a cave where David and his men were hidden. Proverbs 19:11 - "Man's prudence makes him delay in angry, and his glory is to forget offenses." This verse highlights David's wisdom in choosing to forgive Saul instead of taking revenge.
