Ezequiel, 25

1. La palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:

1. The word of the LORD came to me:

2. Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia los ammonitas y profetiza contra ellos.

2. "Son of man, set your face toward the Ammonites, and prophesy against them.

3. Dirás a los ammonitas: Escuchad la palabra del Señor Yahveh. Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Por haber dicho: «¡Ja, ja!» sobre mi santuario cuando era profanado, sobre la tierra de Israel cuando era devastada y sobre la casa de Judá cuando marchaba al destierro,

3. Say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus says the Lord GOD, Because you said, `Aha!' over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and over the house of Judah when it went into exile;

4. por eso, he aquí que yo te entrego en posesión a los hijos de Oriente; emplazarán en ti sus campamentos, y pondrán en ti sus tiendas; ellos comerán tus frutos y ellos beberán tu leche.

4. therefore I am handing you over to the people of the East for a possession, and they shall set their encampments among you and make their dwellings in your midst; they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk.

5. Yo haré de Rabbá un establo de camellos, y de las ciudades de Ammón un redil de ovejas. Y sabréis que yo soy Yahveh.

5. I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels and the cities of the Ammonites a fold for flocks. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

6. Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Por haber batido palmas y haber pataleado, por haberte alegrado, con todo tu desprecio y animosidad, a costa de la tierra de Israel,

6. For thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet and rejoiced with all the malice within you against the land of Israel,

7. por eso, he aquí que yo extiendo mi mano contra ti y te entregaré al saqueo de las naciones, te extirparé de entre los pueblos y te exterminaré de entre los países. Te destruiré, y sabrás que yo soy Yahveh.

7. therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand against you, and will hand you over as spoil to the nations; and I will cut you off from the peoples and will make you perish out of the countries; I will destroy you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

8. Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Porque Moab y Seír han dicho: «Mirad, la casa de Judá es igual que todas las naciones»,

8. "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Moab said, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the other nations,

9. por eso, he aquí que yo voy a abrir las espaldas de Moab, y a destruir de un extremo al otro sus ciudades, las joyas de ese país, Bet Hayesimot, Baal Meón, Quiryatáyim.

9. therefore I will lay open the flank of Moab from the cities on its frontier, the glory of the country, Beth-jesh'imoth, Ba'al-me'on, and Kiriatha'im.

10. A los hijos de Oriente, además de los ammonitas, la entrego en posesión, para que no se recuerde más entre las naciones.

10. I will give it along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession, that it may be remembered no more among the nations,

11. Haré justicia de Moab, y se sabrá que yo soy Yahveh.

11. and I will execute judgments upon Moab. Then they will know that I am the LORD.

12. Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Porque Edom ha ejecutado su venganza sobre la casa de Judá y se ha hecho gravemente culpable al vengarse de ella,

12. "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Edom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance upon them,

13. por eso, así dice el Señor Yahveh: Yo extenderé mi mano contra Edom y extirparé de ella hombres y bestias. La convertiré en desierto; desde Temán a Dedán caerán a espada.

13. therefore thus says the Lord GOD, I will stretch out my hand against Edom, and cut off from it man and beast; and I will make it desolate; from Teman even to Dedan they shall fall by the sword.

14. Pondré mi venganza contra Edom en manos de mi pueblo Israel, que tratará a Edom según mi cólera y mi furor, y se sabrá lo que es mi venganza, oráculo del Señor Yahveh.

14. And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord GOD.

15. Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Porque los filisteos han actuado vengativamente y han ejecutado su venganza con desprecio y animosidad, tratando de destruir a impulsos de un odio eterno,

15. "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the Philistines acted revengefully and took vengeance with malice of heart to destroy in never-ending enmity;

16. por eso, así dice el Señor Yahveh: He aquí que yo extiendo mi mano contra los filisteos; extirparé a los kereteos y destruiré lo que queda en el litoral del mar.

16. therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cher'ethites, and destroy the rest of the seacoast.

17. Ejecutaré contra ellos terribles venganzas, furiosos escarmientos, y sabrán que yo soy Yahveh, cuando les aplique mi venganza.

17. I will execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful chastisements. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon them."
