Deuteronomy, 19

9. (Yet so, if thou keep his commandments, and do the things which I command thee this day, that thou love the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways at all times) thou shalt add to thee other three cities, and shalt double the number of the three cities aforesaid:

Deuteronomy 19 deals with the cities of refuge, which were places designated where someone who committed an intentional homicide could escape to protect themselves from the revenge of the victim's relatives. Proverbs 19:5: "The false witness will not be unpunished, and what breathes lies will not escape." This verse highlights the consequence of false witness and lies, which is divine punishment.

Isaiah 1:17: "Learn to do well; seek what is just; help the oppressed; do justice to the orphan; deal with the cause of the widows." This verse emphasizes the importance of justice and treating vulnerable with kindness and compassion, themes that are related to the idea of ​​cities of refuge in Deuteronomy 19.
