2 Kings, 8

21. And Joram came to Seira, and all the chariots with him: and he arose in the night, and defeated the Edomites that had surrounded him, and the captains of the chariots, but the people fled into their tents.

Chapter 8 of 2 Kings tells the story of Hazael, a man who would eventually become king of Syria, and his interaction with the prophet Elisha and King Jehora of Israel. Hazael visits Elisha disguised and asks about the health of King Jeorão, while in fact he was interested in knowing if he would be able to become king. Later, Elisha sends one of his disciples to anoint Hazael as king of Syria, but also prophesies that he will cause much destruction. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in 2 Kings 8:

2 Kings 10:32: "In those days, the Lord began to reduce the territory of Israel. Hazael defeated the Israelites throughout the east of Jordan." This verse talks about Hazael's actions, which is presented in 2 Kings 8 as a future king of Syria and that causes destruction in Israel, fulfilling Elisha's prophecy.
