Ezekiel, 20

9. But I acted for the sake of my name, so that it would not be violated in the sight of the Gentiles, in the midst of whom they were, and among whom I appeared to them, so that I might lead them away from the land of Egypt.

" This verse points out that those who reject God's law end up being consumed by their own wickedness.

Hosea 14:1: "Back, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for by your sins you have fallen." Here we see an appeal for the people to repent and return to God, recognizing that their own choices led them to the fall.
