1 Samuel, 25

36. Then Abigail went to Nabal. And behold, he was holding a feast for himself in his house, like the feast of a king. And the heart of Nabal was cheerful. For he was greatly inebriated. And she did not reveal a word to him, small or great, until morning.

1 Samuel 25 narrates the story of Abigail, wife of Nabal, a rude and foolish man who refuses to help David and his men in a moment of necessity. Abigail, in turn, takes the initiative to provide food and supplies for David, thus avoiding a war between her husband and the future king. " Abigail demonstrates generosity and compassion by providing food and supplies to David and her men, even though he knew that her husband was a rude and foolish man.

Ecclesiastes 7:9: "Do not have a rush in your spirit to anger, because wrath rests within the fools." David shows wisdom by refusing to retaliate against Nabal and his men, although he was insulted and disrespected.

Romans 12:19: "You shall not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give the wrath of God, for it is written, My is revenge; I will reward, say the Lord." David trusts God to deal with those who offend him, instead of seeking revenge on his own.
