27. And upward from what had the appearance of his loins I saw as it were gleaming bronze, like the appearance of fire enclosed round about; and downward from what had the appearance of his loins I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness round about him.
Ezekiel 1 is the first chapter of the book of Ezekiel, in which the prophet describes an impressive view of God's glory in a car of fire. The chapter includes many impressive details, such as the four living creatures, the wheels full of eyes, and the bright light that surrounded everything. This verse presents a vision of Micaiah about the heavenly throne and the heavenly army present around the throne. This vision can be related to the vision Ezekiel had in the first chapter of his book, where he describes a view of the heavenly throne and living beings around him.
