Deuteronomy 29 deals with the renewal of the covenant between God and the people of Israel after the death of Moses. In this chapter Moses reminds the people all the blessings and curses that God had promised in the covenant, and urges them to remain faithful to it. Below are five verses related to the topics addressed in Deuteronomy 29:
Deuteronomy 30:19-20: "Today I invoke heaven and earth as witnesses against you, which I put before you life and death, blessing and curse. Now choose life, so that you and your children may Live and love the Lord, your God, listen to your voice and get to Him. For the Lord is His life, and He will give you many years in the earth who swore to give to his ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. " This verse highlights the importance of choosing the covenant with God, the central theme of chapter 29 of Deuteronomy.

Jeremiah 31:31-33: "Days will come, declares the Lord, in which I will make a new covenant with Israel and Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with his ancestors when I took them by the hand to get them out of Egypt, for they broke my covenant, although I am their Lord. This is the covenant I will do with the community of Israel after those days, declares the Lord. I will put my law in their heart and write it in their hearts. God, and they will be my people.
