Deuteronomy 6:14-15 - "Do not follow other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you; for the Lord thy God is a zealous God in the midst of you, that the wrath of the Lord thy God may not light up against You and destroy you from the earth. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15-"For such false apostles are fraudulent workers, transfiguring himself into apostles of Christ. And it is not wonder, because Satan himself transfigures himself into the angel of light. ministers transfigure themselves into ministers of justice, the end of which will be according to their works. " This verse highlights the presence of false prophets and teaches the importance of discerning the true message of the Lord.
