Jeremiah, 33

13. In the towns of the highlands, of the lowlands and the Negeb, in the territory of Benjamin, in the districts round Jerusalem and in the towns of Judah, once again the flocks shall pass under the hand of someone who counts them, Yahweh says.

Jeremiah 33 presents a message of hope and restoration to the people of Israel. God promises to bring back prosperity, healing and justice to the earth. The verses selected below deal with themes related to this message of hope and restoration.

Isaiah 40:31 "But those who await the Lord renew their strength. They fly loudly as eagles; run and do not exhausted, walk and do not get tired." This verse talks about the renewal of forces that comes from hope in God. It relates to the message of hope and restoration presented in Jeremiah 33, which promises the restoration of prosperity and the healing of the land.

Joel 2:25 "I will compensate them for the years when the harvests were destroyed by the grasshoppers, the worms and the caterpillars, my great army I sent against you." God promises to compensate for the people of Israel for the years when the earth was devastated. This verse relates to the promise of restoration of the earth presented in Jeremiah 33.

Zechariah 8:12 "The seeds will prosper, the vineyard will give their harvest, the earth will produce their harvests, and the heavens will give your dew. This will be the blessing that I will give to my people." This verse talks about the prosperity that will come to God's people. It relates to the restoration and blessing message that is presented in Jeremiah 33.

Ezekiel 34:26 "I will make it rain in the right time; the rain will fall into abundance, and there will be abundant harvests, the tree will bear its fruit, the vine will produce a lot of wine." God promises to bring rain at the right time and full harvests to his people. This verse relates to the restoration message of the earth and the prosperity presented in Jeremiah 33.

Psalm 23:3 "He restores my being; guide me for the paths of justice for the sake of his name." This verse talks about the restoration of being and the guide of God. It relates to the message of justice and restoration that is presented in Jeremiah 33.
