Chapter 5 of Amos talks about the condemnation of the people of Israel for their hypocrisy and injustice. The prophet calls the people to repentance and the pursuit of justice. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in Amos 5.

Isaiah 1:17: "Learn to do good; seek justice, end up with oppression. Defend the orphan's right and protect the cause of the widow." This verse talks about the importance of the search for justice and the protection of the most vulnerable, topics covered in Amos 5.

Jeremiah 22:3: "Thus saith the Lord, Practice justice and righteousness; Deliver from the hands of the oppressor who has been stolen. Do not mistreat or make violence to the foreigner, orphan or widow; do not pour out innocent blood in this place."
