Wisdom of Solomon, 9

1. 'God of our ancestors, Lord of mercy, who by your word have made the universe,

9:1-5 - Salomon rukous paljastaa viisauden ja ymmärryksen etsimisen. Hän tunnustaa, että todellinen viisaus tulee Jumalalta, ja hän korostaa tarvetta luoda läheinen suhde Luojaan totuuden erottamiseksi ja viisaaksi hallitsemiseksi (ks. myös Jaakob 1:5 ja Sananlaskut 2:6).
