Isaiah, 40

28. Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, [that] the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? [there is] no searching of his understanding.

Isaiah 40 is a chapter that talks about God's consolation to his people. He begins with someone's voice crying out in the desert preparing the way to the Lord and ends with a promise that those who wait in the Lord will renew their strength. Here are five verses related to the topics addressed in Isaiah 40:

Psalm 31:24 - "Heads strong, and shall invigorate your heart, all you who wait in the Lord." This verse encourages those who await the Lord to be strong and to renew their strength.

Isaiah 41:10 - "Do not fear, because I am with you, do not haunt yourself, because I am your God; I strengthen you, and help you, and I support you with my faithful right hand." This verse talks about God's constant presence with his people, offering them strengthening and support.

Psalm 46:1-2 - "God is our refuge and fortress, a good help in anguish. Therefore, we will not fear, even if the earth moves, and even if the hills are transported to the midst of the seas." This verse talks about trust in God as our refuge and fortress.

Isaiah 43:2 - "When passing through the waters, I will be with you, and when through the rivers, they will not submerge you; when you pass through fire, you will not burn you, nor the flame will burn in you." This verse talks about God's protective presence in the midst of the challenges of life.

Psalm 27:14 - "Wait in the Lord, encourage you, and He will strengthen your heart; wait, therefore, in the Lord." This verse encourages those who wait for the Lord to be animated and strengthened by their power.
