2 Chronicles 4 describes utensils that were made to be used in the Solomon Temple, including a bronze sea, ten wheels, basins, lamps, spoons, forks and cups. All utensils were made with great skill and accuracy to be used in the service of the Lord. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in 2 chronicles 4:
2 Chronicles 4:18: "So Solomon did all these objects in large quantities, for the weight of the bronze could not be determined." This verse highlights the amount of objects that were made for the temple. All were made in large quantities, showing the importance and grandeur of the temple.
1 Kings 7:23-26: "He also made a sea of casting, ten cubits from one edge to another, completely round, five cubits tall, and a cord of thirty cubits surrounded him. Below its edge around, around, They were the ox figures, ten per cubit, and the sea was based on twelve oxen. Four of them were facing north, four to the south, four to the West and four to the East; and upon them was the basin. " These verses describe the construction of the bronze sea to the temple. It was made on a large scale, with a ten -cubbled edge and a five -cubbled height with ox figures around.
2 Chronicles 4:9: "He also made the courtyard curtains, which were thin linen twisted, and the columns with their foundations, which were bronze." This verse describes the courtyard curtains and the columns that were made to the temple. They were made of thin linen twisted and bronze, respectively.
1 Kings 7:50: "And the cups, and the spoons, and the incensers, of pure gold; and the gates of the house, namely, the entrance of the interior chamber, and the gates of the temple, of gold." This verse describes the gold objects that were made for the temple. The cups, spoons and censer were made of pure gold, as well as the doors of the temple.
2 Chronicles 4:22: "The sea, and the oxen under it, and the calves, and the foundations, and all the utensils under him, were part of the treasures that Hirão de Shooting gave Solomon, to the Lord's work . " This verse points out that the utensils that were made for the temple were present from Hiram de Tire, which helped Solomon obtain materials and workers to build the temple.
