Revelation, 18

Revelation 18 talks about the fall of the great city, Babylon, which is seen as a symbolic figure of the world system of power and corruption. Jeremiah 51:7: "Babylon was a golden chalice in the hands of the Lord, who drunk the whole earth. The nations drank from the wine of his wrath; so they are now crazy." This verse describes how Babylon was used by God to punish other nations, but now it will be punished itself.
