Jeremiah, 6

26. Gird thee with sackcloth, O daughter of my people, and sprinkle thee with ashes: make thee mourning as for an only son, a bitter lamentation, because the destroyer shall suddenly come upon us.

Jeremiah 6 deals with the rebellion and lack of repentance of the people of Judah, as well as the imminent destruction that would come upon them as a consequence of their sins. Next, I present five verses related to these themes:

Isaiah 55:6-7: "Seek the Lord as long as one can find, invoke him while he is near. Isaiah 1:16-17: "Wash, purify you, take the evil from your acts from before my eyes; cease to do evil. I learned to do good; , deal with the cause of the widows. " This verse calls people to abandon their sins and practice justice and goodness as a way of pleasing God.
