Chapter 2 of 1 kings deals with the death of King David and the succession of the throne by Solomon, his son. Proverbs 20:28: "Mercy and truth keep the king, and with mercy sustains his throne." Matthew 6:33: "But seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." This verse talks about the importance of placing God first and seeking His righteousness rather than seeking our own desires.
