20. And she said to him: I desire one small petition of thee, do not put me to confusion. And the king said to her: My mother, ask: for I must not turn away thy face.

Chapter 2 of 1 kings deals with the death of King David and the succession of the throne by Solomon, his son. Proverbs 20:28: "Mercy and truth keep the king, and with mercy sustains his throne."
