31. because he was teaching his disciples. And he told them, "The Son of Man will be delivered into human hands. They will kill him, but three days after he has been killed, he will rise."

Mark's chapter 9 begins with the transfiguration of Jesus before Peter, James and John. Then Jesus heals a demonized boy, teaches about the importance of humility and tolerance, and warns of the danger of sin. Below are five verses related to these themes:
