9. And the queen of Sheba gave King Solomon almost five tons of gold and great quantities of spices and precious stones. There never were spices like those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.

1 Kings 10:23: "Thus King Solomon exceeded all kings of the earth, both in riches and wisdom." This verse reinforces the main theme of 2 chronicles 9, which is the greatness of Solomon as king and his wisdom.

Psalm 72:1-2: "O God, give the King your judgments, and your righteousness to the Son of the King. Judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with judgment." This psalm is a prayer for the welfare of the king, who is responsible for governance with justice and taking care of his people, as Solomon did in his reign.
