2 Chronicles, 18

7. The king of Israel answered, "There is one more man through whom we can consult Yahweh, but I hate him because he never tells me good things but only discouraging words. He is Micaiah son of Imlah." Jehoshaphat said, "The king should not say such things."

2 Chronicles 18 tells the story of King Jehoshaphat of Judah, who unites in an alliance with King Ahab de Israel to fight the Syrians. Before the battle, he appoints his prophets who give him a favorable answer, but Jehoshaphat asks a prophet of God to be consulted and Micaiah is brought to give his opinion. Micaiah prophesies that the battle will be a defeat to them and is arrested for it. Below are five verses related to the topics addressed in 2 chronicles 18, in order of similarity:

John 14:6: "Jesus answered, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except for me.'" This verse highlights the importance of following the truth that is found in Jesus Christ rather than relying on the lies and illusions that the world can offer.

Ephesians 6:14: "Be firm, wearing all the armor of God, so that they can be firm against the devil's pitfalls." This verse encourages Christians to dress with God's armor so that they can be firm and strong in the face of the devil's lies and temptations.
