Wisdom of Solomon, 12

27. For among those who were indignant at their sufferings, which came through those things that they reputed to be gods, when they saw that they would be destroyed by these same things, those who formerly refused knowledge of him, now acknowledged the true God, and, because of this, the end of their condemnation came upon them.

Chapter 12 of the Wisdom Book addresses the idea that God is compassionate and just, and that people should repent of their sins. He also points out that God is patient and expects people to turn to Him. Here are five verses related to these topics:

Psalm 103:8 - "The Lord is compassionate and merciful, patient and full of love." This verse reflects God's compassion and patience mentioned in Wisdom 12.

Isaiah 55:7 - "Abandon your evil ways and your bad thoughts; turn to the Lord, who will have mercy on you, to our God, who is generous to forgive." This verse emphasizes the importance of God's repentance and mercy.

Romans 2:4 - "Do you despise the riches of God's goodness, tolerance and patience, not recognizing that God's goodness leads you to repentance?" This verse highlights God's patience and tolerance, as well as the need for repentance.

2 Peter 3:9 - "The Lord does not take long to keep your promise, as some judge. On the contrary, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone comes to repentance." This verse emphasizes God's patience and his desire for people to turn to Him.

Revelation 2:5-"Remember where it fell! Repent and practice the works you practiced at the beginning." This verse talks about repentance and the need to turn to the things of God.
