Revelation, 18

13. and of cinnamon and black cardamom, and of fragrances and ointments and incense, and of wine and oil and fine flour and wheat, and of beasts of burden and sheep and horses and four-wheeled wagons, and of slaves and the souls of men.

Revelation 18 talks about the fall of the great city, Babylon, which is seen as a symbolic figure of the world system of power and corruption. The city is seen as responsible for all the evil and abominable things that have occurred on Earth. Here are five verses from other parts of the Bible that relate to the topics addressed in Revelation 18:

Jeremiah 50:32: "The pride of Babylon will fall and will no longer rise; I will destroy its carved images and its statues; and it will forever be an object of horror." This verse talks about the fall of the city of Babylon and its pride, which is similar to what is described in Revelation 18.

Jeremiah 51:7: "Babylon was a golden chalice in the hands of the Lord, who drunk the whole earth. The nations drank from the wine of his wrath; so they are now crazy." This verse describes how Babylon was used by God to punish other nations, but now it will be punished itself.

Jeremiah 51:45: "Get out of her, my people! Save, each of you, from the ardent wrath of the Lord." This verse is an appeal for people to leave the city of Babylon before it is destroyed, which is similar to what is described in Revelation 18.

Isaiah 47:8-9: "But now, listen to this, okay, who lives carefree and says in his heart: 'I am the only one, and there is no one but me. I will not become a widow, nor will my children lose my children '. Both these things will come upon you in an instant, in the same day: the loss of your children and widowhood. They will come upon you in all their fullness, despite their many witchcraft and the large numbers of their enchantments. " This verse refers to the city of Babylon as a symbolic figure of an arrogant and self -confident woman who will be punished for her evils.

Isaiah 48:20: "Get out of Babylon! Flute from the Babylonians! Advertise this with shouts of joy, and proclaim it. Send it to the ends of the earth; say, 'The Lord rescued his servant Jacob!'" This verse It is a call for people to leave the city of Babylon before it is destroyed.
