Leviticus, 12

2. Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: A woman, if she has received the seed to bear a male, shall be unclean for seven days, just as in the days of separation due to menstruation.

Leviticus 12 deals with the purification of women after delivery. God gives Moses instructions on what women should do after giving birth to a boy or a girl, including the period of purification and the sacrifices that must be offered. Luke 2:22: "And when their days of purification were fulfilled, according to the law of Moses, they brought him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord." This verse talks about compliance with purification laws according to the law of Moses, something that is addressed in Leviticus 12.

Luke 2:23-24: "According to what is written in the law of the Lord: Every male who opens the mother will be called the Lord to the Lord; and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, a pair of rolls , or two lovebirds.
