Jeremiah, 6

6. For thus says the Lord of hosts: “Cut down her trees, and build a rampart around Jerusalem. This is the city of visitation! Every kind of false claim is in her midst.

Isaiah 1:16-17: "Wash, purify you, take the evil from your acts from before my eyes; cease to do evil. I learned to do good; , deal with the cause of the widows. " This verse calls people to abandon their sins and practice justice and goodness as a way of pleasing God.
