Exodus, 10

5. And they shall cover the face of the earth, lest any part of it be seen. Yes, and what remains from the hail shall be eaten. For they will gnaw away all the trees that spring up in the fields.

Chapter 10 of Exodus narrates the continuation of Egypt's pests, with the arrival of the grasshopper plague. Moses and Aaron try to convince Pharaoh to free the Hebrews, but he still refuses. The selected verses are:

Deuteronomy 28:38: "You will throw a lot of seeds to the countryside, but you will gather little, because the grasshopper will consume her." This verse talks about the damage caused by grasshoppers to agriculture, a theme that is addressed in Chapter 10 of Exodus.
