Deuteronomy, 6

15. For the Lord your God is a jealous God in your midst. Otherwise, at sometime, the fury of the Lord your God may be enraged against you, and he may take you away from the face of the earth.

Deuteronomy 6 contains the famous passage of "Shema Yisrael", which is a central statement of the Jewish faith. The chapter urges the Israelites to love God with all their hearts, soul and strength, and to teach God's commandments to their future children and generations. It also highlights the importance of maintaining God's commandments, remembering the blessings God has given to the people of Israel and not forgetting God when established in the promised land.

Exodus 20:6: "But I show love to thousands who love me and keep my commandments." This verse highlights the importance of loving God and obeying His commandments, which are central themes of Deuteronomy 6.

Deuteronomy 11:18-19: "Put these words of mine in your heart and soul; tie them as a sign in their hands and attach them on their forehead. Teach them to their children, talking about them when they are sitting in Home and when they walk along the way, when they lie down and when they get up. Deuteronomy 30:16: "For I command to you today that you love the Lord, your God, walk in your ways and keep your commandments, decrees and ordinances; then you will live and multiply, and the Lord, your God, will bless you on the land you are entering to possess. " This verse highlights the importance of loving God and obeying His commandments to receive blessings and prosperity, an important theme in Deuteronomy 6.

Proverbs 22:6: "Teach the child on the path where he should walk, and even when he gets old he will not deviate from him." This verse speaks of the importance of teaching children early on the ways of God, a theme that is emphasized in Deuteronomy 6.

Joshua 24:15: "But if they do not like to serve the Lord, choose today to those who will serve, whether the gods their ancestors have served beyond the Euphrates, or to the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But I And my family will serve the Lord. " This verse highlights the importance of making a conscious choice of serving God and following His commandments, a central theme in Deuteronomy 6.
