Chapter 13 of 1 Samuel begins with Jonathan's appointment as commander of the army of Israel and continues with the description of the battle against the Philistines. And I will sanctify the tent of the congregation and the altar; I will also sanctify Aaron and his children, that the priesthood may administer me. This verse talks about the importance of trusting God and waiting for your help, instead of being angry or desperate when the wicked seem to be thriving.
Isaiah 10:1: "Woe to those who decree unfair laws and the clerks who prescribe oppression." This verse talks about the danger of violating the laws of God and justice, as Saul does when he offers a sacrifice without the presence of the prophet Samuel. Saul's story in 1 Samuel 13 is an example of how disobedience to God's will can lead to negative consequences.
