Löydetty 1810 Tulokset: Promised Land Joshua 12
And when they had crossed over, the Lord said to Joshua: (Joshua 4, 1)
And Joshua called twelve men, whom he had chosen from the sons of Israel, one from each tribe, (Joshua 4, 4)
Therefore, the sons of Israel did as Joshua instructed them, carrying twelve stones from the midst of the channel of the Jordan, just as the Lord had ordered him, according to the number of the sons of Israel, as far as the place where they made camp, and there they stationed them. (Joshua 4, 8)
Similarly, Joshua positioned another twelve stones in the middle of the channel of the Jordan, where the priests stood who were carrying the ark of the covenant; and they are there, even to the present day. (Joshua 4, 9)
Now the priests who were carrying the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan, until everything was accomplished which the Lord had instructed Joshua to speak to the people and which Moses had said to him. And the people hurried, and they passed over. (Joshua 4, 10)
In that day, the Lord magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel, so that they would fear him, just as they had feared Moses while he lived. (Joshua 4, 14)
Likewise, the twelve stones that they had taken up from the channel of the Jordan, Joshua stationed at Gilgal. (Joshua 4, 20)
So at that time, the Lord said to Joshua: “Make for yourself knives of stone, and circumcise the sons of Israel a second time.” (Joshua 5, 2)
throughout the forty years of the journey in the very broad wilderness, were uncircumcised, until the ones who had not listened to the voice of the Lord were consumed. For he had sworn to them before, that he would not reveal to them the land flowing with milk and honey. (Joshua 5, 6)
The sons of these ones succeeded to the place of their fathers, and they were circumcised by Joshua. For they were uncircumcised, just as they had been born, and no one had circumcised them along the way. (Joshua 5, 7)
And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I have taken away from you the disgrace of Egypt.” And the name of that place was called Gilgal, even to the present day. (Joshua 5, 9)
And on the following day, they ate unleavened bread from the grain of the land, and cooked grain, of the same year. (Joshua 5, 11)
