Deuteronomy 29 deals with the renewal of the covenant between God and the people of Israel after the death of Moses. Jeremiah 31:31-33: "Days will come, declares the Lord, in which I will make a new covenant with Israel and Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with his ancestors when I took them by the hand to get them out of Egypt, for they broke my covenant, although I am their Lord. This is the covenant I will do with the community of Israel after those days, declares the Lord. I will put my law in their heart and write it in their hearts. God, and they will be my people. " This verse speaks of the promise of a new covenant between God and the people of Israel, which will be written in the hearts of the faithful and not just on stone tablets.
