1 Maccabees, 9

22. Now the rest of the acts of Judas, and his wars and the brave deeds that he did, and his greatness, have not been recorded, for they were very many.

1 Maccabees 9 describes the war between the armies of Judas Macabeu and Baquids, General of the Seleucid King. Thus saith the Lord about you: You do not fear, nor are you scary because of this great multitude. ; for the battle is not yours, but of God. " This verse deals with the theme of Divine Protection, which is an important element in 1 Maccabees 9. Both sides trust God to protect them in battle.
