Jeremiah, 5

7. How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by [them that are] no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

Jeremiah 6:13-14: "For from the smallest of them to the largest, each one gives himself to greed; and from the prophet to the priest, each one practices falsehood. And heal the wound of my people lightly, saying: Peace , peace; when there is no peace. " This verse denounces the corruption of both religious leaders and the people in general.

Jeremiah 2:11: "Did you change any nation to their gods, even if they were not gods? But my people exchanged their glory for what is of no use." This verse highlights the idolatry of the people of Judah, who has abandoned the true God to worship worthless idols.
