Genesis, 41

3. And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the [other] kine upon the brink of the river.

John 15:5: "I am the vine, you are the sticks; who is in me, and I in him, he gives a lot of fruit; for without me you can do it." Joseph was used by God to produce a great fruit by saving Egypt and the region of hunger. This verse reminds us that without God's presence in our lives we can do nothing.

Psalm 46:1: "God is our refuge and fortress, a good help in anguish." Joseph faced many difficulties in his life, but always found strength and refuge in God. This verse reminds us that God is always present and willing to help us in our moments of necessity.
