Genesis, 4

14. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, [that] every one that findeth me shall slay me.

Chapter 4 of Genesis deals with the story of Cain and Abel, the first children of Adam and Eve. Genesis 4:26: "To seven also a son was born, and he called him Enos. At that time men began to invoke the name of the Lord." This verse highlights the beginning of worship of God among people, showing that even in the midst of violence and sin, there were still those who sought a connection with God.
