In Genesis 37, the story of Joseph, the favorite son of Jacob, who is sold as a slave by his own brothers, is narrated due to jealousy and envy. The chosen verses are:
Proverbs 14:30 - "The quiet heart is the life of the body, but envy is the rot of bones." Joseph's brothers are consumed by envy and she becomes the root of her bad deeds.

James 1:2-4 - "My brothers, tends for great enjoyment to pass through various trials, knowing that the trial of your faith operates patience; and patience has your perfect work, so that you may be perfect and complete, without missing anything. " Joseph's story is an example of how trials can strengthen a person's faith and patience.
