Exodus, 30

23. Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred [shekels], and of sweet cinnamon half so much, [even] two hundred and fifty [shekels], and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty [shekels],

Exodus 30 deals with the making of the altar of incense, the offer of atonement of the middle-shekel, the washing bronze basin and the mixture of sacred oil. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in the chapter, excluding Exodus 30 verses:

Ezekiel 8:11: "And before them was the man standing, his right hand raised to the East; and worshiped the sun, putting himself to his left side." 2 Chronicles 4:6: "He also did ten basins, and put five on the right and five on the left to wash them; the work of the Holocaust washed in them, but the basin was for the priests to wash." 2 Kings 12:13: "However, of the money of the offers for the guilt and money of sin offers, there were no gold glasses or basins for ministry, nor for the burnt offering; because of that it was given to the workers." This verse talks about the use of guilt and sin offerings to finance the construction of the temple. This relates to Exodus 30, which speaks of the atonement of the atonement of the middle-shekel as a form of financing of the tabernacle.

Hebrews 7:25: "Therefore, it can also perfectly save those who come to God, always living to intercede for them." This verse talks about the intercession of Jesus Christ for sinners. This relates to Exodus 30, which talks about the offer of atonement of the middle-shekel as a form of redemption of the people of God and as a means of acclaiming to Him.
